Heather from the Black Hawk office reports that it was another week of mixed fall fishing on the Black Hawk. We ended up starting our combo trips a bit early, and on our bottom fishing trips we spent part of the time doing some blackfishing. Our blackfish only trips were pretty good, with Thursday better than Tuesday. We had some nice togs to around 10 pounds on Thursday!
Our bluefish and striped bass trips are done for the season. Thanks to all who joined us on these trips, we look forward to them again next year!
Special congrats go out to Capt. Matt and his wife Alex, who welcomed baby Benjamin into the world last week. Everyone is doing well, and we expect that little Ben will be out on the boat before we know it!
We’ll be doing more combo trips as we continue the season. We continue to fish every day, weather depending, so check our website for schedules and tickets. As we move into late fall and winter fishing, we further limit the capacity on each trip, so be sure to grab your tickets right away if you have a particular date you’d like to fish with us.
As a reminder, we post new trips every Monday night at 8pm, for trips approximately 3 weeks ahead of time. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
