Heather from the Black Hawk office reports that it was another week of mixed fall fishing on the Black Hawk. Our combo trips are in full swing, and we’re spending part of the day blackfishing and the other part on the bottom fishing grounds. Blackfishing was up and down, with some days better than others. Some days were fantastic, with fish to 13 pounds! Other days were a bit slower. The bottom fishing was fantastic, with loads of porgies, huge seabass, and a good mix of cod on some trips too. Overall, a good week of fall fishing!
We’ll be doing combo trips Monday through Friday now as we continue the season. We’ll do bottom fishing on the weekends. We continue to fish every day, weather depending, so check our website for schedules and tickets. As we move into late fall and winter fishing, we further limit the capacity on each trip, so be sure to grab your tickets right away if you have a particular date you’d like to fish with us.
As a reminder, we post new trips every Monday night at 8pm, for trips approximately 3 weeks ahead of time. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
