Heather from the Black Hawk office reports that thankfully, Hurricane Henri wasn’t nearly the storm they were calling for. While we did lose last Sunday and Monday, we were able to get back out on Tuesday for the bottom fishing action. Tuesday was a little on the slower side as the waters calmed down after the storm, but we did put some nice fish in the boat, including some nice triggerfish! By Wednesday, things had picked up and the fishing was excellent.

Thursday’s fluke and seabass trip was tough. You know us- we’ll give you the honest report, good or bad- and Thursday was a rough day. The fish just didn’t want to cooperate, making for a slow grind with not many fish to take home.

By Friday, things had improved and we were able to get out there with good numbers of porgies and seabass. Saturday was more of the same.

Our afternoon trips, both private charters and after work specials, showed excellent bluefishing, with loads of big blues. Lots of action made for good trips!

Our schedule changes on September 1, with only one trip on the weekends moving forward. These trips fill up fast, so grab your spots as soon as you see them posted online!

Our trips continue to be by reservation only at this time. As always, tickets will be available to purchase on our website on Monday evenings at 8:00 pm. We will post tickets for our trips one week at a time, approximately two weeks ahead of time. All trips will be by reservation only, so be sure to grab your tickets early!
