Heather from the Black Hawk office reports that we headed out on Friday, our first trip since the big storm last week. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what we hoped- the water was still dirty, and the fish didn’t want to bite at all. You know us- we’ll tell you when it’s good, and when it’s bad. Friday was bad. So bad that we cancelled our sold out Saturday trip, because we don’t think it’s right to take people out when the conditions are so poor and the likelihood of catching is so low. We hate to cancel the trip, but want to bring you out when you’ll catch.
Since we’re heading back to Derektor’s next week, it looks like that’s the end of the season for us. We had hoped to get a few more trips in, but it doesn’t look like it will happen at this point. We’re going to get our winter work at the shipyard done as quick as we can, so we can get back out there for the spring cod season.
We’d like to thank everyone for a good season, and we look forward to seeing you in 2024!
