Heather from the Black Hawk office reports that our final bass and blues trip of the season was excellent, with nice blues coming over the rails- the ones we could keep from the seals, that is! We look forward to more of these trips next season!
For the remainder of the season, we’ll be bottom fishing and doing our combo trips. The combo trips target blackfish and porgies/seabass on the same trip. Our regular bottom fishing trips, heading out on Saturdays and Sundays, are for porgies and seabass. We’ve had a few cod mixed in, which is getting us excited for the remainder of the season!
The bottom fishing trips this week were up and down- some days were better than others. We did have some nice blackfish to 11 pounds on our blackfish trip, and some nice seabass on our bottom fishing trips. Overall, it wasn’t the fall fishing we’ve come to expect- but we’re hoping that with the fall weather finally heading our way, the fishing will get back to what we’re used to.
We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
