Heather from the Black Hawk office reports that aside from the interruption from Isaias, we had a great week on the water. Sunday and Monday showed excellent fishing, with jumbo porgies and seabass coming over the rails. We lost Tuesday and Wednesday morning due to the storm, but were able to get out on our private charter on Wednesday night. They had a great night, with a good mix of blues, a few short striped bass, and lots of seabass. Thursday our morning bottom fishing trips picked up right where we left off, with limits of porgies and seabass all around the boat. Our After Work trips on both Thursday and Friday were action packed with blues and some seabass as well.
We were able to get in our seal watch on Monday night before the storm came. We’re looking forward to another one or two before the summer is over. As always, these are part of our Black Hawk and the Community program and all proceeds go to local non-profit organizations.
We continue to post new trips each Monday night, and they are selling out about a week to a week and a half ahead of time, so we encourage you to get your tickets as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
