Heather from the Black Hawk office reports another excellent week of fishing. Once again, we had limits of jumbo size porgies on most trips, with a few fluke, some bluefish, and even a striped bass in the mix. As usual, there were a good number of sea bass in the mix, and those were released unharmed. We’re looking forward to the opening of the seabass season in New York next week so we can keep these beauties!

Our private charter Wednesday night couldn’t have asked for a better night- beautiful weather and great fishing with a great group of people. There was a lot of action as we picked through the short bass for a few keepers, with some bluefish in the mix as well. Charter dates are filling quickly, so be sure to contact the office if you’d like to get your group on the calendar.

Our After Work trips were a little on the slower side, but still had action with some short bass and blues. We’re looking forward to more of these trips as the season goes on. We’ve got some night bass trips coming up next week, so stay tuned for the reports from those trips.

As always, check our website and Facebook page for updates and details. Trips are all by reservation only at this time, and are selling quickly. We know it’s frustrating, but important for your safety and ours that we maintain social distancing. We know people are frustrated when they can’t get tickets, so we encourage you to get your tickets as early as possible before they sell out. We are adding as many trips as we can, so stay tuned! We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
