Heather from the Black Hawk reports another week of good fishing. Blue fishing last Monday was nothing short of spectacular, as many as you wanted. Bottom fishing during the week was hampered by strong winds, so we had to fish in some secondary spots. Fishing was still steady, with jumbo porgies and seabass.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature decided not to cooperate with us this weekend, and we lost both Saturday and Sunday with the heavy westerly winds. We’re looking forward to heading back out this week, especially with the reopening of seabass in federal waters.
We’d like to remind everyone that we will continue to fishing daily from Niantic through October. After that, we will be sailing from Stonington- be sure to check our website for details, which will be posted soon.
