Heather from the Black Hawk office reports that last Sunday was another slow day.  We covered a lot of ground and picked away at the fish but never really found a pile to work on. We ended the day with a few haddock and sea bass with a few short cod as well.

Monday, New Year’s Eve, was on the slower side as we were hampered by dogfish.  We had a great group of anglers out with us, anxious to get out for the last trip of 2018.  We made a bunch of moves and fished different grounds but the bite never materialized. We ended the year with a few cod, sea bass and haddock with a nice mix of ling and bergal.

There is plenty of bait in the water, so the stage is set for things to turn around for the better and we will continue to stay on the grind until it does.  Unfortunately, Mother Nature just didn’t cooperate this week, and the winds just didn’t allow us to get out.  We’re hoping the weather will cooperate soon so we can get out this weekend.

We are looking forward to getting back out on the water in 2019.  We will continue to fish as the weather allows.  As always, check our website and Facebook page for updates and info.  We wish everyone a very happy New Year and nothing but the best in 2019!
