The Black hawk is proud to be a part of our local community.
Our Annual “Christmas in July” toy drive for local underprivileged children.
Help the local community and save money on your fishing trip at the same time!
We believe in making communities and families stronger- and we think that by bringing people together, getting them outside and fishing- we’re helping to do just that. Each month, the Black Hawk will be collecting items for various local community organization. Bring an item on the list and save money on your fishing trip.
We will always collect:
- Box Tops for Education
- Canned Food
- Personal Care Items (soap, shampoo, etc)
- Books! We are proud to be working with Ready to Grow to collect new and gently used books to be distributed to children throughout Connecticut. Next time you come fishing, bring some books!
2016 Community Programs
We are always looking for local organizations who we can partner with. We can collect items for your organization, arrange a fundraiser trip, or donate a gift certificate for your event. Email Heather to get started!
The Black Hawk regularly contributes gift certificates to local organizations holding auctions, raffles, and other events. While we would love to contribute to everyone, due to the overwhelming number of requests, it’s just not possible.
The Black Hawk supports organizations that are important to our customers, with a focus on organizations that support fishing, outdoor activities, children, education, and the environment.
If you would like to request a donation for your organization, you must submit a request, in writing, to the address below.
Black Hawk, Attn: Heather, PO Box 46, Niantic, CT 06357
Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your request. Requests must be received at least six weeks prior to the date you need the donation. Only one donation will be granted to each organization per calendar year. We also request your organization send a letter acknowledging the donation after the event is over.
If you have any questions, or to find out about how your organization can hold a fund-raiser with the Black Hawk, contact Heather.
