Heather from the Black Hawk office reports that we were able to get out several days this week, and we saw some excellent fishing. Early in the week we had to fight through the dogfish, but still had a boat limit of seabass, along with some scup and nice sized codfish. The blackfish was a bit better than last week, although we still had to weed through some shorts to get the keepers. Wednesday was a great day, with another boat limit of seabass, a good number of codfish, and keeper blackfish to 8 pounds. Thursday was a great day, with beautiful weather and excellent fishing. Nice blackfish, some pushing 10 pounds, with lots of limits around the boat. Once again, we loaded up on a boat limit of seabass with a good mix of cod to 15 pounds. Saturday’s weekend trip had to contend with some wind and rolly conditions, but we ended the day with limits of seabass, a good number of jumbo scup, and a few codfish as well.

We’ve got the last of our blackfish trips this week, and hope to get out for more seabass, porgy and cod trips after the holiday. Speaking of that, the entire Black Hawk crew would like to wish all of our customers a very Happy Thanksgiving. We are certainly thankful to have the best customers around and are glad you’re a part of the Black Hawk family. As always, check our website and Facebook page for updates and reports, and we look forward to seeing everyone soon.
