Heather from the Black Hawk office reports that last weekend’s Sunday trip was a real mixed bag- we had cod, sea bass, porgies , a few bluefish, and even a winter flounder! It was an excellent all around day of catching! Special congrats to 12 year old Brandon from Vernon, who caught a beautiful winter flounder. Great job, Brandon!

Monday’s combo trip had some excellent fishing. The sea bass fishing was a total bail job right from the start with seabass flying over the rails up to 5lb! The porgies and cod fish had to fight for a meal through the hungry sea bass, but we still put some scup and cod in the coolers, as well. After we picked up our limit of sea bass, we switched over to the blackfish. We had a lot of limits around the boat, with a few fish hitting double digits on the scale!

Tuesday’s private charter loaded up on the scup and sea bass, with limits of seabass and a good mix of cod to 15 pounds. Wednesday’s combo trip saw nnice, big cod fish and sea bass. We had limits of sea bass, mixed with loads of porgies and some cod fish over the 10lb mark. We did have a solid catch of blackfish and the seasoned anglers were able to pick up their limit of taugs. Saturday was another day of great fishing- now is the time to join us and fill the freezer for the winter.

We’ve added more combo trips for next Thursday and Friday, so book your spots online before they fill up. These trips are popular and reservations are required. As always, check the website for details and updates on upcoming trips.
