Capt. Greg from the Black Hawk reports that the sea bass fishing has been very good. We’ve been going over to the Montauk area. Fish up to 5 pounds, beautiful jumbo knothead seabass and all the porgies one could ask for. Now is the time to take your kids fishing before they head back to school- pick a day and come join us!

We’ve noticed lately that it seems like some of the local fishing reports are a bit sugar-coated. People catch a handful of bluefish in the Race, and all of a sudden the bluefishing is excellent. A couple short striped bass and the striped bass fishing is great. Truth be told, the bluefishing is poor locally. Are there some bluefish around? Yeah, there’s a handful of bluefish everywhere, we’re even catching a few while we’re bottom fishing, but it’s certainly not good. Hopefully this will improve soon, we know that many of you want to get out there and catch ’em- we do too!

Heather from the office reports that we had another great sunset cruise last Saturday, and we’ve got another coming up this weekend for the WARM Center in Westerly. Come join us and support a great cause!

We continue to fish daily, Monday through Friday at 7:00 am and at 6:00 am and 1:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. We have our After Work Special trips running through August, and we’ve got our “Summer Seal Watch” coming up this Wednesday, and another coming the 20th. Come join us soon!
