Capt. Greg from the Black Hawk reports that the last five big bass night trips have been nothing short of spectacular, I don’t know how else to say it.  Full boat limits on every trip with fish consistently between 30 and to over 50 pounds, it just doesn’t get any better. A lot of customers opt to release their catch which is good to see. We will be posting more trips in the next week or so, when the tides and conditions are right again. They fill up fast, so be sure to stay tuned so you can get a spot on board.

Porgy fishing still remains excellent, with no problem getting your full limit and releasing a lot more nice. Nice big hubcap porgies to fill the freezer.  Sea bass fishing is been very good.  Most customers get through the shorts and have no problem filling their limit of 15 inch fish or bigger.  There’s been a few fluke mixed in with them, and and handful of bluefish.

Bluefish locally in the race area is a little slow, but from time to time here are a lot of bluefish at Montauk, so hopefully some of ’em are going to swim in this way so we can start blue fishing soon.

Heather from the office reminds everyone that we’re sailing every day, Monday through Friday at 7am and two trips on Saturdays and Sundays, leaving at 6am and again at 1pm.  We’ve got our Sailfest fireworks cruise coming up this weekend, on Saturday, July 13, and our Christmas in July trip for the Niantic fireworks on July 20.  Both are part of our Black Hawk and the Community Program and we’d love to have you join us!  As always, visit our website or check our Facebook page for updates, reports and new trips.  We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
