Capt. Greg from the Black Hawk reports that the night big bass trips this week were very productive on both bucktails and live eels.Fish up to 40 pounds were taken during the past week, with a lot of action on short fish that were obviously released.

Porgy fishing has been very, very good all during the week, with the exception of Saturday, which was a little tougher. We jumped around and made a trip of out of it. The Sunday, Father’s Day, trip, which did better than Saturday.

Squid fishing is done for this spring, but we will be running some squid trips in the fall, so stay tuned for those.

Heather from the office reports that we have a few dates open for charters, but they are filling up fast, so be sure to call the office soon to grab a spot. We are currently sailing 7 days a week, leaving at 6am on the weekends and 7am during the week. Please note that there is no open trip on Saturday, June 29th.

As always, check our website and Facebook page for updates and reports. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!

  1. Any photos from June 20th ? My cousins and I went fishing on the Blackhawk June 20th and I just wanted to know if there were pictures of that day

  2. Hi,
I have fished with you guys many times and not in a long while at night for bass and have always had a great time.
I always bring my own rod and reel aboard you boat. I forget, for some reason, what tackle we use at night though. For eels, what hook and size sinkers. Also for bucktail, what size sinkers should I be bringing? Also any other tackle suggestions?
I am booked for the July 7 night trip.
    Thanks,
    Todd
