“We’re turning up the heat on sea bass, codfish and porgies,” reports Capt. Greg from the Black Hawk. Wednesday and Saturday’s Block Island trips had nice water and great fishing. Boat limits of both jumbo sea bass and monster Black Hawk porgies, with a good mix of codfish to 20 pounds, left customers arm weary with full coolers and smiles on their faces. These trips, limited to only 35 passengers and by reservation only, are sailing out of Dodson’s Boatyard in located in Stonington Borough, Connecticut, providing easy access to Block Island. The weather might be chilly but the fishing is red hot!! We plan on fishing Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with additional trips added based on the weather.
